Practice ManagerClaire joined the Practice as reception supervisor in 2013 having previously worked in another local practice for a few years. She was promoted to Practice Manager in 2019. She has completed the Practice Manager vocational training course through NES. She has a wealth of knowledge in primary care, deals with staff and is the first contact for any suggestions or complaints patients may have.
Reception and Admin Staff
We have a highly skilled and efficient team of support staff including receptionist, administrators and a secretary. They deal with a variety of tasks as well as manning a busy reception desk.
Our receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make the majority of the patient appointments with GPs and nurses.
Please assist our receptionists when you are asked for what may seem like personal details – the information is to help the doctor, nurse or healthcare assistant who is going to be dealing with your problem. All staff are bound by confidentiality protocols
The admin team perform important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. They also issue the letters recalling patients in for clinics.
We do not tolerate aggression or inappropriate behavior toward staff as they have the right to work in a safe environment. Any incidents will be reported to the police and may result in patients being removed from our list.
